Im gonna be Australia when England retain the ashes,
due to budgets im not gonna be able to watch any matches in the grounds. Is there big screens in the cities when the games are on like they do over here?

I'm sure they'll be plenty of pubs with all the matches on........
coz you know how crazy about cricket the aussies are..............
it's gonna be so sweet to retain the ashes in there own back yard.
Come on England..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it true that cricket matches stop for a tea break? Not a whole lot of cricket being played openly in Canada so I am kinda clueless, yet I am...hmmmm interested.

Setting aside who will win (Aussies of course) and getting back to the original question. Chances of lots of bigs screens is minimal but it will be on TV and as mentioned above, most pubs will have it on. Bear in mind this will be the height of summer in Oz and hot (or hot and wet) so I suggest you find someone having a barbie and spend the day beside their pool watching their TV.

As for tea breaks - cricket was invented by the English, what to you think!!!

In England, they set up a huge TV screen in fields next to the grounds such as lords and the oval, then its a minimum fee to watch on these screens rather than big prices to enter the grounds. Everyone then brings cases of beer and can watch the game with a great surrounding atmosphere, does the same not happen in Oz?

Not a problem.... there are plenty of pubs with big screens so you will be able to watch Freddie and the boys retain the ashes.

I was over there for the Rugby World Cup, and the atmosphere in the pubs was superb.... and of course the result was ideal!

There are plenty of sport themed bars with sport on all day... particularly in Melbourne.

Just remember to wear an england shirt at all times, especially if we win. It strikes up good conversations if nothing else!
