Hi everybody,

I'm planning to spend a weekend with my girlfriend in October in Austria, in one of those marvellous spa and wellness centers, to relax and where they pamper you with massages and health treatments.
Does anybody have any suggestions on where to go or which hotel/area might be the best choice ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lorenzo

check out this webpage:

I'm from the province called Carinthia(Kärnten) and we always love to go to Styria (Steiermark).
When I was little we went to the Therme Loipersdorf, but I think there are even better ones. I'll have to ask my parents, where they went to last time, as they really liked it and will let u know then!

Thank you very much. I wait for your parents' "suggestion": I'm sure their experience will be useful for me. In the meanwhile I'll look at the website you suggested (thermen.at).

I agree with the above post, Syria is a great place to go (wonderful thermal spas) and is well known among the austrians themselves as the spa place to go. Bad Blumau is the most well known/famous, but they are all great. Bad Blumau also has day bike trips (very low key, easy ride meant to enjoy the countryside, not exhaust yourself, and lots of otudoor activities as the Austrians tie fresh air directly to health. regardless of the spa, they will all be great. no place like austria to assure that the famous and the not so famous places are all good quality. here's a website: http://www.spasecretsmagazine.com/reviews/styria.php

other then Bad Blumau, this one is also great - Loipersdorf

Oh, yes, I have heard a lot about Bad Blumau and its famous architecture: I'll take a look at Loipersdorf too.
Thanks for the information! :)

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
