...and to link the whole soccer thing to the original post:

To all non-Dutchies out there: can you pinpoint where above named clubs have their home ground? (i.e. in which city?). I mean, THAT'S important geographical knowledge!! ;)

Roda JC plays in Kerkrade. FC Utrecht is naturally in Utrecht . PSV's home ground is in Eindhoven, and Ajax is from Amsterdam. They all play in the Eredivisie this season.

Actually it's quite easy to tell from their full names: Roda JC Kerkrade, PSV Eindhoven, Ajax Amsterdam.

Utrecht: I have a bit of the same. I know most capitals, flags and location of big cities by heart. I spent my childhood studying maps and reading travel guides. I have Aspergers (a form of autism) which causes a very obsessive nature, whenever I like something I can spend hours per day on it researching or reading about it, even when it's something very obscure. From age 6 to age 14 I spent many many moments locked up in my room to study maps. It was one of the first signs of my Aspieness.

PS: not saying that all geography 'freaks' here are Aspies!

and what about feynoord ????

oh and for the info on countries, if i'm going somewhere i will look up the information about the larger cities and strangely enough if the lp tells me not to go there because its too small / hard to get to/ boring then i have to research it because i want to form my own opinion, at the end of the day its each to their own

Hello Utrect

I tend to take more interest in the politics, sociology and economy, of countries.
I pay less attention, to the topography, but i would usually know the capital city, of the particular country i am in and i would have an opinion, about whether the scenery is beautiful.
