on the internet, i have found a lot of agencies that are selling the paris museum pass.

are these also sold at airport or major metro stations or museums as it seems easier to buy them in person than buying them online.

Yes you can buy it in museums. It will probably be cheaper than to buy it online via an agency because museums don't take any commission.
Note that a lot of museums are free every first sunday of the month and the third week end of september, so you don't need a pass if you are in Paris at these times.

hello julien,

thank you. i have read that the queue at louvre is long long one. so i would rather buy the pass first from some other musuem to save time. any advise about a museum where i will get the museum pass and escape long queue.

You can buy it at any of the museums/monuments that accept the pass so the best idea is to go to one of the less popular ones first and buy your pass there or get it from some of the other places that sell them - a tourist information office for example. The last time I was in Paris I bought mine from Saint-Chapelle which didn't have that big of a queue early in the morning but it can get really busy later on in the day during the summer. There's a list of all the museums/monuments here -
