As we discussed back in thread Ever met a TPer when your not expecting to!, luggage tags with the little TP backpacker dude on them would ROCK! Peter even said:

Great idea on the luggage tags Greg! We actually had designed some earlier this year, but just never got around to printing it, etc.. Now we're talking about things like backpack covers

So, where's all the stuff? Now that you guys are getting ready to design and sell calendars, it follows that you will need either need to handle fulfillment yourselves or hire a fulfillment vendor to do it. Either way, you'll have the capabilities to deliver actual, physical items.

So, where's my luggage tag? I'll buy two - one for my checked bag and one for my carry on.

...heck, I may even give up my Canadian Flag luggage tag and actual get that tattoo!

MESSAGE FROM THE MODERATOR:

To all members, you may now print your own TP luggage at

I agree!!! I would consider giving up or at least including it along with my Art Tags

We usually travel with one or two checked bags and a carry-on. All of them have tags on them. I would replace my Art Tag one on my carry-on with a TP one - if they existed...

U-RAH-RAH, GREG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for bringing this very important topic to the forefront! ;)

Heh, let's see how this calendar thing goes first! It's going to be quite an interesting experiment. If we can sell out of them, we will of course take that as a very positive sign ;)

But yeah, luggage tags have been on and off the cards more than once.. argh.. A print-your-own option was the most recent incarnation we were bandying (sp?) about.

What about stickers? They're apparently very easy to get printed :)

Tags are a great idea, i could do with a few of them.

They'll make great and easy Christmas gifts if you don't sell out... But, they will make great gift for members to give to their families with their travel dates all marked in too.

Stickers aren't a bad idea but they don't stick very well to cloth bags and do get very beat up. Tags, on the other hand, tend to last a bit longer. (Our current ones are lucite and nearly indestructible - though one airline was able to break one off leaving just the nylon strap it had been attached to...)

I honestly think you will have better sales with luggage tags than with stickers. But, I'm not a marketing person - what do I know.

ps: Bandying is spelled correctly.

Is there any TP stuff for sale? I dunno, mugs or notepaper or something.

Officially, no.

But.....

A few months back I actually did up a page at Cafepress. They make merchandising just too easy and I wanted to see what our logo would look like on a mug ;)

So.. if you really must, you can check the Cafepress Travellerspoint store.

On offer is a t-shirt (sorry, boring design I know), mugs, a stein, stickers, a mousepad, some badges and of course magnets. Inspired stuff isn't it?

Where's the TP lunchbox, TP toilet paper, TP The FlameThrower (very popular with the kids!).

I think some Merchandising stuff would be great especially for Meetups and the likes. That reminds me, where's the TP Gnomads and TP squishy balls?

Well, whattayaknow?! This (personalized ones to print yourself) was on my 'to do' list and due to not having internet for the past 2.5 weeks, I actually finally got around to doing this as it was the only thing I could actually do on my laptop while sitting in the Cooks and sipping on Cooks lager :)

I've just comitted the files so that Peter/Sander can have a look over them, but if all is cool it should be up quickly!

YAY!

I'm happy I'll get my luggage tags, though a little jealous that I wasn't in the Cooks the last two weeks.
