Kuala Lumpur - Any Hostel Recommendations?

Travel Forums Asia Kuala Lumpur - Any Hostel Recommendations?

I'm soon going to be travelling in SE Asia; and fly into KL to start off. I generally like to have at least the first night figured out in advance, so does anybody have any recommendations (or places to avoid) in Kuala Lumpur.

I'm looking for relatively cheap "hostel-like" options, being that I like the concept of dorms, meeting people, etc. I would like to think though that it would be a pretty safe joint and in a reasonably good neighborhood.

So far, I've been looking at the Red Dragon Hostel, Travellers Palm and the Trekker Lodge using the good ole TP accomodation tool.

Anybody have anything good or bad to say about any of those places or have any other suggestions?

Thanks a million!

Head down to china town, lots of hostel accomadation there, not sure about the quality though.

If your budget allows, try the hotel china town inn, a decent hotel with great beds, air con, tv & hot water. It's right in the heart of china town, but you hear no noise.
