Travel Forums General Talk Travellerspoint members are great

Hi everyone,

I just want to say that I think that travellerspoint members are great. You give good, prompt advice and are really nice. Having just browsed Thorntree, I realise how special this is (they argue about non-travel related issues and personally attack each other all the time!)
That's all,

Hi - yep I agree 'Thorntree' is not my cup of tea I think people talk jibberish on that site. I agree also that the folks on this site are great for exactly the same reasons you gave Lis

In total agreement with both of you as well. Have been using Thorn Tree as well over the years, and you can be lucky and get some good answers but you could also be unlucky and your question will drown in all the personal sniggering that's going on there - or you might even be attacked yourself

Aw, that's so nice. Never thought anyone would say that about Travellerspoint vs. Lonely Planet :)

I agree though (of course). I think not being too big helps sometimes too.

Now the challenge will be to keep it that way

Sorry, it's nearly weekend and I'm in a good mood...

NEVER BEEN TO THORN TREE OR LONELY PLANET KIND OF STUMBLED ALONG TO THIS SIGHT,ITS TRUE GOOD SIGHTS ARE HARD TO FIND.                                                                                              well just an opinion,                                                                                                                            Roy,NYC

Agree! I met nice people here. Even when we have different opinions (which is of course unavoidable), people here are open minded and respectful. I go to Lonely Planet once in a while. I read through Thorn Tree a couple of times but it didn't make me get addicted like Travellerspoint did me...

So totally agree with everything that has been said so far Good post

this is an extremely informative site, with people who genuinely seem to want to help and are sooooooo interesting to just chat to! Great senses of humour and a delight to be in touch with

Well done Sam and Peter - you have brought a ray of sunshine into all our lives! xx

I have to agree too, I think that the range of experience and knowledge is brilliant, everyone seems so friendly , even the wacky ones favourite thing is the forums...... you hear some great idea's and the strange ones are brilliant entertainment..... ;) ..

I also like the way the information is been given by people who have 'been there, done that' , compared to some websites which are just you can rely on the information...

Keep up the great work guys !!!
