Hay guys,

I am going to Adelaide next year and had heard on this board that when visiting Kanagroo Island you can sometimes see Great Whites in the sea around the island. What i wanted to know is are there any actual tours around the island that take you out shark spotting?? I think this would be dead cool (not that i want to get in the water or anything hehe)

I have looked up Kangaroo island and all i can see is dolphin watching

Thanks xxx

Hi Janebell,
t'was I that mentioned this on your other thread me thinks.
When we arrived in Adelaide, we'd heard about the Great Whites (off Port Lincoln on the Eyre peninsula) and Rodney Fox apparently did tours to go diving with them. We went down to his office and checked it out. The tours were running where you could go diving with the sharks. However, the tours were a week long sailing trip and were very expensive so we never did one.
Dolphin spotting is pretty much the only on-water activity on the island, however, if there's sharks about, then I'm sure they'll stop if they see one :)
If you do hear of anything though, I'd be very interested,
cheers
Taffski.

Yeah i will let you know, going to keep looking into it.

You would think they would have trips like these - i know they have alot where you can go down in the cages but i am not brave enough for that plus i could never afford it!!!
