I may not be as well traveled as the rest, but (when it was still in production) Jamaica's Dragon Stout was my favorite. Red Stripe still is refreshing on a hot Caribbean day. Other than those, any good dry pale ale is worth a tasting.

I'm also now quite bias and love the Berghoff Pale Ale, which is brewed in Wisconsin by Jos. Huber Brewing Co. (I'm bias because my husband's the Brew Master.) Still, I've drunk a lot of beer over the years and the Berghoff brews are some of the best from the US.

tighten up people,
i've been all over the gaff, drank everything i can get my hands on. AND, the best is super crest. 10%, large can and retails at 1.19. What a touch. Only available from little somalia, Old Kent Road, London.

Ah, what I wouldn't do now for a nice case of VB. Nothing quite like that green and cold color

I find it hard to understand why VB is popular. I thought it was just because it's cheap, but I think there are cheaper options even. I can't stand it to be honest Carlton (ideally Crown) would be my pick for a Melbourne beer.

For me it's the taste. It's really smooth and nothing like all the finnish beer's which are really bitter and weird tasting.Though, I wonder why VB is called Victoria Bitter...LOL!

Ah you see, to me, the problem with VB is that it is too bitter! Are you sure it's the same beer we're talking about?? For a nice smooth beer, I'd go for a pale ale - a good one can be like drinking wine. mmm Something from Belgium will hit the spot anytime.
