Stop talking about beer!! Our base run out almost four weeks ago and the ship doesn't arrive for another ten days. Bring on the Amstel when it does

Don't you just hate it when that happens?

I know its my local brwery but "Late Red" a fruity ale made from local kentish hops.
Too be honest, wherever ya go theres never a great choice so ya grow accustomed to whatevers put in front of ya.
Even Stella in Egypt uhuhuhuhu

MattXIII - not to change the subject, but are "13" yr olds legally allowed to drink in the UK?? Or, was your profile age thing just a dyslexic diversion for the masses? Just curious...

Oh, and Panamanian beer is pretty boring. It's closer to colored water than a brewed beverage. Balboa is the tastiest and it's basically Budweiser or Miller.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I am new around here.

Favourite beers:

Leffe from Belgium. Make sure you get it in the cognac shaped glass as it adds to the flavour to let it breathe.

Some old style ale I drunk in a restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania. It was served in a ceramic pitcher with ceramic mugs to drink from. Very olde worlde!

Weissbier (also known as Weizen) from the regions of Bavaria. If you like Paulaner, try some of the local brews from outside of Munich.

And after reading this thread, I will add Staropramen to the list, and also most Slovenian beers. Actually the only place I wasn't taken on the local beer was up in Sweden and Finland, where you normally only get about 2 or 3% strength.

A lot of people i have who travelled SE Asia said Beerlao was the best in the area. Never been and not tried it. Personally, i like Kronenberg and Stella here. Tiger and Singha is nice. The worst beer i have had was in Uruguay, don't know what it was called but i got used to it once it had destroyed my taste buds!!!!!!!! 333 beer in Vietnam is pretty bad as well.
