Ok a lot of questions here.. I am not leaving until the end of october. but I am so excited - I just can't hide it.

So I am gonna be alone at Airlie Beach, and in Cairns - so I am trying to find nice places to stay.

Recommendations? JJ's Backpackers and Tropic Days in Cainrs seem nice?

If you're on your own go to Calypso Backpackers. It's extremely friendly.

YES! Calypso seems very friendly ... and with a bar called Zanzibar, one of my favourite places on earth, it must be a sign... Thanks!

There are so many places in Cairns to stay you will have a ball wherever you go.

Hope you have the time to get up to the Daintree. It is truly beautiful up there. You will love the pub/Backpackers there I am sure also - it is really are a fun place to stay.

However if you want something quieter then there are many other places eg Exotic friut farms etc.

Enjoy your time wherever you go or stay

I had tons of fun at the Asylum backpackers in Cairns. Not really nice and clean or anything, buy literally almost every one there went out at night for their pub crawl. its cheap too.
I think most people would agree with staying at Magnums in Airlie Beach as well. really chill 8 bed cabins there...
