I thought it was just another rumour. Not so long ago,there was a rumour saying Irwin was killed by Crocodile.....:(

He taught everyone so much about respecting and understanding animals. I guess they're just as unpredictable as humans, sometimes. Poor man... he seemed like such a nice fellow.

I will miss him saying "look at this beauty" to an evil looking snake/spider/crocodile

Im as much in shock as everyone else - Steve Irwin was mental but in a good way! And his poor wife and children also.

The last show l saw with him was in a farm in a silage pit pulling out brown snakes as if they were bits of straw and nothing to worry about.

It's awful, he was so funny, one of my favourite jokes was doing a steve irwin soliloquay on like..

"look at this man eating fish, he's huge, what a beeeeaaauuuty, now, i'm just gonna put my finger up its arse, he didn't like that, ah!! it bit me!!..."

what a legend (and a nutter) He will be missed.
