Its a 2001 Renault Clio.

There's something wrong with the lock on the boot. Every time the weather is warm it won't lock, the problem is, you can only lock/unlock the boot with the remote lock, there is no keyhole on it.

But whenever I try to take it to the garage its working again, so they can't do anything. The sun is out today so I might be able to take it down there.

No, the problem is it's a French car, like Italian ones - all design and no engineering.
Mostly female, but not all.

OK whispering "the latch on the bottom needs adjusting as it's too tight".
This is due to the cars being slapped together.

Yeah look at Mr Schmarty Pants there with all his knowledge of cars. How can you tell what's wrong without even seeing it. The world is grateful you're not a doctor.
