Anybody has any tips for ok priced and safe accommodation in Nairobi. We're there just for a start of our trip for two nights 22-24.12. It would be great if it would be close to Boulevard Hotel on Harry Thuku Rd as we have to go there for a meeting and also the tour leaves from there. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also our flight is pretty late after 10 at night arrival. Is it ok to get your transit visa then or would you advise to do it before hand????I'm Finnish and husband Australian.
Kenya comfort hotel ideally located at the junction of Muindi Mbinbu Monrovia Streets, opposite Jeevanjee gardens city centre. It's a walking distance to Boulevard hotel. They charge US$30 single room and US$40 Double twin per night.meals go from US$5.you can Get your transit visa on arrival.

The best place for your accomodation would be at Nairobi Safari club. This hotel has a business centre, health club and gymasium. There is also a small pool with a pool-side bar. A good hotel with old school colonial charm. Elegant high rise modern 16-storey hotel. The hotel has 146 rooms all with satellite television, air-con, in room safe, hairdryer, telephone and mini bar. Room are en-suite and carpeted with wooden furniture - there is a writing desk and chair in every room. The restaurant serves a high standard of International cuisine and has large windows offering lots of natural light. There is also a Terrance bar that provides drinks and light snacks. The medium size lobby has a marble floor, wood panneled pillars, a long wide reception desk ahead as you enter the hotel and wooden furniture and seating for guests. This hotel is located in northern Nairobi just half a kilometre from the city centre and is opposite the university of Nairobi. 18 kms from Nairobi international airport.
Safari Club Hotel Features
Boulevard hotel is about 3km away a walking distance
Security is good a few Kilometres from the Central Police station
Thanks guys. The Nairobi Safari Club sounds brilliant, but as I mentioned I'm looking something for a budget traveller, so more like Comfort Inn. Might try that or if anybody else has recommendations keep the coming.
And the visa is ok for certain???As we will be there very late and don't want to hung around all night if it's shut or something????
