Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for hotels in Hawaii? My fiance and I will be arriving in Honolulu on the 12th of January and really need to get some accommodation lined up!

Cheers!

What level of accomodation are you looking for, and what island? Here in Oahu, you can find anything from the basic hostel to the luxury hotel - there are 900,000 people on this island, think large city. The outer islands are different, each in its own unique way.

For starters try: http://www.waikikibeachsidehostel.com/. It isn't in too bad an area, Waikiki near Kapiolani Park and Kuhio Beach.

if you say hostels I assume you are looking for something on the cheaper end of accomodation. When I went to Oahu I lodged at the waikiki hostel for 3 days which was just ok- only because it was in crowded waikiki.

The next 3 days I stayed at a hostel on the North Shore which was much more country and peaceful, I dont know the name of it but if you go to

http://www.northshore.com

you should find something if not just email them.

cheers!

Yes, it is the Backpackers Hotel. Just get on the 52 Circle Island Bus, and ask the driver to let you off at the closest stop - the drivers here are pretty good. The hotel is near Sunset Beach, Pipeline, and there is a Starbucks at Pupukea (and a grocery store). Much better than staying in Waikiki.
