We'll be staying three nights in NY in mid september. I've browsed the net to find a place to stay but just seem to be able to find really cheap dumps (according to trip advisor reviews) or far too expensive places.
If anyone knows any place in a residential area in Brooklyn (williamsburg, greenpoint) that would be great, but of course Manhattan is fine too.
Any advice would be most welcome.
hiya, i don't know what you're budget is, but i'm staying at The Cosmopolitan in Tribeca in June, which has been recommended by some friends who stayed there earlier this year. It's costing about US$125 / night inc taxes (for a mini loft room) which was about as cheap as I could fins on the island. Will re-post after I'm back from my trip. cheer, kaff
There a few hostels around the city that you could consider too, if you don't mind shared facilities. Like Kaff said. What do you consider cheap?
Thanks, I actually found what seems to be a clean decent hostel; The Big Apple Hostel $80/night for a double room, which I think is alright.
I think this hostel was the only one which got all good reviews, which I take as a good sign.
