amigo has indicated that this thread is about Japan

Any ideas on an inexpensive hotel in Kyoto? Need parking, convenience and affordable for a family. Thanks!

I stayed at a Ryokan called the Hotel Nishiyama. I paid 4000 yen booked from the tourist information center in Kyoto station - you could also book it by signing up to the Welcome Inn Reservation Center (which is the system the TICs use). I recall there were a few spots out front for parking.

Not exactly sure of the name-Costa Del Sol or something along those lines. It is near Kyoto station but very basic, just tatami room and small bathroom but cheap and well located.

More about Japan

Japan (日本) is a small country of magnificent proportions. In its long history it has been the home to one of Northeast Asia's most powerful civilizations, been unsuccessfully invaded by Mongols, invaded mainland Asia and gained the sad title of being the detonation ground for the only two nuclear bombs dropped during warfare.
