Well we've finally booked... EEEEEEKKK!! We leave on the 15th Nov for 6 months in Asia

Can anyone recommend any good websites for booking hotels? I wont be booking a room for my entire stay, but want to arrange somewhere reasonably nice for things like Christmas, birthdays etc. I dont want to spend a fortune, but want something a little nicer than budget. Any ideas?
I'll be visiting India, then doing the Indochina Loop.

Hi, you can contact the local travel agencies. they will arrange all your intineraty , all you need to do is to enjoy the whole trip.
for the guide , meal, accomadations, everything for you.
So I suggest you travel with the agrencies, especially if you are not very familiar with the destinations you visit.
Anyhow, have a nice trip.

I'm not going to China unfortunately, I am going to Vietnam though.

I don't want to have all my travelling arranged by one company, I intend to do the most part of it by myself, travelling around and sorting out my own accomodation on the day.

I just want to book a few decent hotels for occasions like Christmas and birthdays and wondered if anyone had any good websites?

Hi Beckiboo,
For my 3 weeks in Myanmar this year I used a mixture of, and, and had no problems whatsoever.

I used quite a few times during my 4 months RTW in early 2005 and have had no problem with them whatsoever. I'm talking double room for $30 - $60 USD a night, not budget accomodation. Hotelclub gives you reward money for every booking which you can use as a discount on your next booking.
I recall using as well during my RTW last year, and I always check out for European hotels.
