WOOHOO!!! Martinis on Purdy!!!!

Congratulations again, Heather!!! Considering everything - you've been the rock. And, in situations like these - most everyone gets a free moaning card to spend as they wish. I spent mine moaning to you guys last fall. Now, go finish those exams, give your dad a big "no touchy" hug from us (don't want to accidentally pull out any of those tubes or monitor cables) and get thee to the airport on time!!! ;)

The International Beer Festival is RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR at work!!!!! Literally--I just weaved through hundreds the tents to get in. So this afternoon we finish at 3:30, have chocolate cake (we do that once in awhile), get free tickets to the beer fest, then my posse of 4 are off to see Sex in the City (yes it's awful--but good awful!).

And it's Friday. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!

Yay, Heather! Congrats and hugs and all kinds of good stuff! Your father is so lucky--especially to have great kids like you! :)

And have a fantastic time at Isa Manor. Enjoy some non-watered-down sangria for me!

Quoting Purdy

Ive been debating whether to post this or not but lve got good vibes SO

Ive had a shit May - no 2 ways about it - 4 exams - they are over tomorrow - yippee this time tomorrow l will be drunk!! coupled with the fact my boss has been seconded to Canada to look after a project there and l have had to act up into his position whilst hes been away, but my dad took seriously ill 2 weeks ago - so much so that well put it this way l actually had to witness the medics bring him back to life moreorless on no less than 3 occassions - it always seemed to be me that was with him during these attacks - still l know lm stronger than the rest of my sisters to cope with it. Anyway today he had quadruple (started out as a double but on the operating table it doubled!) heart bypass. The operation went as it was supposed too - hes in ICU but thats normal cos of the op he had, but theres no reason to doubt he will make a full recovery! So basically - puts things into perspective when you have to deal with shit like that!

I would like to say a HUGE thanks to Isa and Beerman(and ok Jase to a lesser extent, but suppose l should say thanks too!) who listened to me moan a lot over the last couple of weeks - sometimes your family is just way too caught up in the situation to listen to your petty issues and thats where you guys have been amazing - you guys have been rocks as always and l swear this time next week - the martinis are on me!!!!!

So there you go - life & being alive good enough reason to smile l reckon

Shite - I didn't know this was going on.

I'm glad things are getting better.
