Thank you Marlis and T!!!
It was a very wonderful day once Kris got home from work. He brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a card that has Johnny Cash singing "I Walk The Line".
His card had pictures of us together throughout the "ages" - from our wedding and trips we've taken. Thankfully, it doesn't have me singing when you open it. (Though, the other day I saw where they do sell the audio chip things so you can make your own singing/talking cards now.)

As for the 18 beers... I may be married to a brew master but that would wipe out my stash of pale ale in one shot. Besides, I'm more of a mojito and martini person.

I have a little spider that is living under my keyboard. He makes me smile. He's about 2mm in length, if even that. He (or she) keeps popping out, running along the edge of the desk, up under my mouse pad, around the scattered papers and back under the keyboard. Oops - there he goes again. I like my little spider buddy. He's cute - for a spider. (I like spiders. Spiders are our friends.) Not sure what he's finding to eat but he's been hanging out underneath for the last two weeks. I think I'll call him Buster Brown.

Realisation finally hitting me that having patience and waiting on what you want will make you appreciate it more when it does arrive! Wow - this has taken me 34 years to comprehend!

You have done well Grasshopper, your training is nearly complete. When you can snatch the mojito from my hand.........you will be ready to face the world of bartending on your own.

Beerman, you're losing it big time
Anybody snatching a mojito outa my grubby little hand is gonna get a knuckle sandwich
Had my annual review this morning and it worked again!!!
My manager spouted 'very good work, great attitude (loved that clique but is he BARKING MAD?), valued member of the IT department, almost 20 years of valuable insurance and systems knowledge, blah, blah, blah'.
Got em over a barrel at the moment because all the other Business Analysts have only been there for a very short period of time (3 months or 18 months compared to my 20 years) and I know where the skeletons are buried
A good day.

Thankyou Master Miyagi - it has been a long and tedious road to reach such a juncture!! One may wobble on this new pathway of enlightenment but such hinderances are only set to make us stronger

Now give me that moijito and stop holding it outta my reach!!!

Okay, what have you done with the real Purdy??? Purdy + patience = an alien in Purdy disguise. I demand to know where she is so we can release her from these bonds of patience. Free, I say, free!!!

At my job I've recently been taking photographs of my colleages for our pocket passes and databank and today I was joking around with one workmate. I made him look surprised, cool, arrogant, intrigued, and like our CEO.
I was crying, because I had to laugh so much .. Imagine I would have put one of them on the databank .

A good day.

Surely you jest. Can you really imagine a neophyte removing a cocktail from the Masters' hand? Even if she were able to accomplish the nigh impossible, don't you think I would have another one in the other hand?????

Nice job on deluding the boss again!! It's not really that hard sometimes, but it's nice that someone actually recognizes accomplishment. And as a backup, always know where the skeletons reside!!!

Today's smile? Hmmm......ok, I'm taking tomorrow (Friday here in the decadent west) off to make fried chicken for Isa (no, that's not a euphemism for leather-clad sex in a tree).......so it's a 3-day weekend!!! Yay!!!!!! Now if I can just get through today.........it's only 7am....9 more hours to go......
