Well, this was really yesterday, but I'm still smiling about it.....

On the way to work, just up the road from the middle of nowhere, next to a medium-sized forest, I had to slow the car down for a family of wild turkeys. Momma Turkey had 8 or 9 baby turkeys with her.....when I first saw them, she was already clucking at the babies to cluster around her (mind you, these were 10 kg babies...). I slowed down to a crawl and just listened to them...Momma didn't seem to terribly worried about me, so the clan just sauntered slowly into the brush.

It was one of those "wildlife" moments. Sure, I missed out on the opportunity to fill the freezer with fresh poultry but hey....have you ever tried to pluck the feathers off a 20 kg bird?? Ick.....

Today and for the fourth time I need to change my courses in the university.
So now I haven't any courses in relation with what I'm studying.
I'm in a french literature and maybe I do learn some bioetics things or mechanical engeeniring.
I have no money and nobody wants to give me chance for a job here in Sweden.
So if I can't earn money now in one month I need to come back in France but I WON'T
It's raining, it's cold,

But I have my boyfriend with me, and I am a eternal optimist.

Actually, it was the other day but it still has me smiling... We broke down and bought a new receiver with phono jacks for the turntable. I've been recording and burning our LP collection to CD. With only 275+ LPs left to go - should be done in about 6 months. I'm surprised how well it's working - even the really used/abused LPs sound good. I now have Crow (by Crow) on CD. WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!

Today l got through my sisters kid's christening without murdering a single person or swearing. I did all this sober and with out any nicotine also - l am very very proud of myself!!

I also left early but the fact that l even showed up and sat in a "church" - should be noted! I was even up and out early on a Sunday morning - before 10am - even after l got text messages from people remaining unamed at 3.30am which woke me!!

So l am smiling cos l made it through today and didnt fight/disagree with anyone in my family!
