I guess we can all smile during the next days, because same here: 3 days off and 24 degrees and sunny forecast.

Having to journey into Chicago tomorrow to celebrate Beerman's birthday (which isn't really tomorrow but we do these things on the weekend before or after the actual day). Okay - that part didn't make me smile though Beerman will get pressies and dinner. What did make me (us) smile, one of our favorite music artists will be playing tomorrow night at a small venue in the city. We now have 2 tickets for Hayes Carll!!! Oh, and we get to skip out of the family gathering early!!

Lets see -

thinking about this time last year when we were just landing in Chicago and seeing Gretchen and Kris again and the wonderful weekend we had in Chicago and the even more wonderful time l spent out in middle of nowhere land at Isa Manor with maw and paw and all the kiddies (miss you guys);

the fact lm going to London with 2 of my best friends in the world in about half an hour;

the fact that lve only got 3.5 weeks to wait until l see my gorgeously wonderful boyfriend for the first time in 4 months;

someone l have become really friendly with in the last 3 months and who has been an absolute rock and sounding board for me and without whom l wouldve found the last 3 months a lot more harder than they have been has had some brilliant news

After a crap May, June is an awesome month! Im actually feeling happy again YAY!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone

Meeting my friend at Manchester Airport, who I haven't seen for such a long time. Our smiles on seeing each other, would have bought happiness to the saddest people.

We miss you too!! Deb, Randy and Naomi all said to wish you a Happy Birthday and a big hello!! (I have spoken to all of them today.) The kids said "f*ck right off because you haven't come back to give us love." Hey, they're cats and persickity. Oh, Harry says he loves you. But then again, he loves everyone (especially J).

That's wonderful! (Hi to Paul when he arrives en casa.) And let me guess -the news is b/f is coming home, there's been a marriage proposal, there will be a sprogging... Just guessing...

Happy BD, Heather!! But, you know this isn't the "official" thread.

Two things -

1 - England crashed to one of their most ignominious cricketing defeats of all time, as the Netherlands won the ICC World Twenty20 curtain-raiser at Lord's by scoring two runs off the final ball amid scenes of scarcely believable drama.
That should make the Ashes series interesting

2 - Two return flights Perth to Kuala Lumpur mid-August for 166 AUD (taxes and charges bring the cost to 396 AUD).
Great deal whichever way you look at it, as you can't escape the government's tax grab.

AirAsia

Thanks for that. It seems Air Asia are getting a better and better reputation on an almost daily basis.
Thanks again.
