I haven't been very happy in my current job lately due to an evil boss, today I received the new contract for a really cool job in PR, I've applied for recently. Never been happier collecting mail from the box .
Also can't wait for my boss' face when I hand in my notice !

The International Space Station passed overhead again about 9:30 last evening. The sky was clear and the ISS was so bright. It's wonderful to watch it cross the sky when you know there are 13 people aboard looking down at you while you're looking up at them. (Okay, probably not but we wave at them anyway.) It will be visible again around 10;15 tonight but (sadly) we'll be asleep by then. We're also suppose to have storms so would likely miss it anyway. Still, it's an amazing little dot of light zooming through the night sky.

Yesterday was our 19th wedding anniversary. And though we agreed to not to do the gift thing, someone did something really nice. (We had Amazon gift certs from Christmas that we used as anniversary gift certs instead. ;) ) Anyway, I received a bouquet of 19 flowers - blue irises, white irises, and red roses. It's beautiful and now my "home office" is filled with the scent of roses.

Hello Im new here and really enjoying reading all your travel stories. I have a friend who has been a travellerspoint member for a long time and he persuaded me to sign up. Glad I did. What made me smile today? I got a phone call this morning telling me that I am going to be working in Mexico for a week in a fortnights time. All I can think of is Yippee.

Something that made me laugh yesterday:

I passed in front of the train station and as usual there were some punks with their dogs hanging about. One of them had brilliant burgundy-red spiked hair and eyes the size of needle pinpricks. He was sitting upright (barely) and swayed in his stupor. At that moment his dog went behind him and decided his owner's back was a good place to lift his leg at.

The guy didn't even notice.
