The legal standard in NL is also about 4 weeks (20 days) but most companies/institutions add a bit to that. I normally have 24 days per year for a 36 hrs workweek. But if I work 40 hours I will save these extra 4 hours to take as extra holidays (saving about 2 holidays per month extra on top of the 24 days per year).

The BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8276016.stm just confirmed what I read in the Bahrain Gulf Daily News on September 1st -

Saudi Arabia's anti-terror chief, Deputy Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, escaped a suicide attack.
Saudi-owned Al Arabiya TV said the attacker concealed the explosives in his anus, allowing him to evade detection.
The network also quoted an expert as saying that the method of concealment aimed the blast away from the target, while blowing the bomber to bits.

fartwa?

I found a £100 voucher for BA from last year which I'd totally forgotten!

Have now lined up flights to either Turkey or Syria for next spring, and will have to go and pay the excess today- great excuse to book something, as the voucher is expiring next week...!

Cool, what a bonus! I'd highly recommend Syria.
