Quoting Jase007

Walking away with only bangs and bruises after hitting diesel on a roundabout and dropping the bike last night. Though the bike is trashed :(:(:(

Today though I got a bonus from work that will hopefully pay for the repairs.

Good, then bad, then good!

I was reading this years winners of the Bulwer-Lytton contest --AKA Dark and Stormy Night Contest -- run by the English Dept. of San Jose State University, wherein one writes only the first line of a bad novel.

I laughed out loud at this entry.

"As a scientist, Throckmorton knew that if he were ever to break
wind in the echo chamber, he would never hear the end of it."

Cracked me up

Went to closest travel agent wednesday to ask them to book our Tokyo to Okinawa flight using the special JAL oneworld Yokoso/Visit Japan Fare. Expected quote around $100 - $130 AUD each, but the lady said only six seats left on flight and would have to pay full fare of $463.30 AUD each.
My wife went to travel agent beside her office lunchtime today and asked for exactly the same flight and deal.
Seats booked and confirmed and paid, charge - $103 AUD each.
SCHMOKING

I am not smiling, at all today.
But I will, as soon as my battle with third world visa issuing folks ends.
The capacity for chaos they have is unreal.

You have 3 of them - couldn't have "lost" them all - and they have skull/crossbones on them.

So far - absolutely nothing as I'm temporarily back on dial-up internet.
Okay - I take that back - while online no one can call me! (They can try but I can't answer!)
