It's snowing up a storm outside and I haven't a single thing to do all day except a load of washing! It's very Christmasy. Never seen so much snow on the ground - it's like the winters my grandfather used to talk about where the snow came way up to here and they had to trudge through snowbanks to get anywhere.
The snow sounds wonderful , but the washing I'll leave to ya.

Marlis' post made me smile - a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jase, my list is in the mail!! It starts with a "new" car, new stove and new family (not including Beerman - I'm keeping him!!!! You can't have him!!!!!). I promise to keep the Ghosts of Christmas away from you for these few odd trinkets... Just have it all delivered to Middle-Of-Cornfield-Nowhere, USA!!!
Meeting a friend for dinner! Ok she made me frown also as she is going to South Africa on Sunday for Christmas - not that lm jealous or anything
This is going to be really, really sappy, I know - but... I don't care!
A lot of little things have made me smile over this past year but, while putting the dishes away, I thought about what has really made me smile... The fact that I (we) have a great group of friends - some we have never met in person. When I have needed someone to be there - they were. When shit happened - someone here would make me laugh. People have come to visit us just because they wanted to see us (and the corn or snow). This site may be addictive but it's because it draws a certain type of person and that also makes me smile.
Basically, I just want to thank everyone for making me smile at one time or another. Rarely is there a day where I haven't (almost) spewed coffee on my keyboard because of someone's post. (Thankfully, I've missed the keyboard!) That makes me smile. (Not the missing my keyboard thing, well, that too, but the posting thing.)
Having the remote IT guy pop up on my screen as I'm viewing the "Tis the Season for Adults" Christmas email a certain somebody sent me. Mildly embarrassing but mostly funny.
Santa's helpers from the appliance store just delivered my new stove!!! It's pretty!!!!!!!!!!! They almost got stuck backing out of our driveway but decided turning around was a better idea. It only took them 10 tries to come to the conclusion.
Isa wanders off to go play with the new buttons and knobs...
