So yeah this question has probably been asked loads but anyways...i was wonderin wat are the cheapest/funnest hostels in sydney? (but im willing to go cheaper for less fun...price being the main issue here.) ill be arriving on the 29th november methinks and am thinkin about bookin something pretty soon
is it unusual to book for like a month at a time? i have no where else to stay really and plan on staying in sydney for about that long before goin fruitpicking or something. which brings me to my next question...
do they mind at the hostels if u stay there and work aswell? like just in a bar or something.
Can't recommend anything cheap in Sydney, unfortunately; I much preferred quality.
"Depends on the hostel" for if they mind people staying for a long time. Some don't and actually specifically cater for that (with weekly or even monthly rates), and some have a maximum stay of one or two weeks. (The one exception is often if you actually do the work _at_ the hostel; cleaning rooms and the like. Then the longer you're willing to stay, the better. (They dislike having to train new people every week.) )
I doubt you'll find many places in Sydney where you'll be able to manage to stay for the full month though, since that'll overlap with Christmas. Up to a few days before should be fine, but beyond that? Wishing you luck finding something...
well in that case what do you reccomend i do? i mean i do want to stay in sydney for about a month but 2 weeks in a hostel? and then wat? 2 weeks in a flat?somewhow i dont think that will go down too well...suggestions?
Well, I suggest you start frantically looking around for a hostel for the Christmas week and book whatever you'll be able to find. And if you can't find anything, start looking into alternatives. Think of the Blue Mountains or other places nearby. Or question why it is you want to stay in Sydney for a full month. It's a nice city to be sure, but also by far the most expensive place to stay in all Australia, and there's really not much that you won't have seen yet after the first week or two. Maybe you can go and see two or three other places on the way to wherever it is that you want to go fruit picking - the cost of travelling should be offset quite a bit by the cheaper accommodation.
If you do find something for Christmas, it should be easy enough to hop from hostel to hostel every week or so, or maybe you'll be lucky and find one right away which is okay with you staying for longer. As I said, that completely depends on the individual hostels... (Shame no one else has replied with suggestions yet.)
right here at TP,Accomodation !!! (left side)
I just had a short look.
there are Budget Hostels where you can book up to 28 days,
