56 according to travellerspoint, 59 according to myself.

By the way, I notice that when somebody starts a thread about a subject that has already been posted, the link to that previous thread is posted. I am ok with that, but I hope that after a few years not every question is being answered by a similar thread link.
I don't look back at threads where the last post is older than several days or maybe a week.

I guess is all depends on how you classify a "country", but for me I count 40. Others might only give me credit for about 35 of them.

In reply to Utrecht, I feel that TP members, especially the newer ones, should make a bit more effort to find out whether their question is maybe already answered in an earlier thread, instead of just starting a new one. For "old" members (well, for myself at least) it feels rather silly to make the same comments over and over again.

Of course subjects can be revived in a new thread; if not, how could members that joined after a first thread has been established ever give their view on the matter? But look back just a little farther (not just on the first few pages, use the search function), it saves us all a lot of redundant work :)

After the comment you made in the Europe forum comparing family and citizenship? No chance!

It is no shame not to travel when you do not have the time or the money to do so. At 22, you should have lots of opportunities to change the number of countries you visited.

Welcome to TP, Whitehead.

BTW, there is a way to see the countries TP members have visited. If the member logged hir travels in the travellog, you can see them listed by country in the profile.

Somewhere around 80.....there's about ten more new ones I wanna see and then go back to the ones I've been to so I doubt I'll ever hit 100, not the point anyway really but might make a good goal....Zoom
