Hey, allot of french and europeans drive cars down to sell them, they seem to get a better price in Mali, some people even seem to make a small profit on driving down in 2WD cars. Although if your car is right hand drive, i'm not sure that it will be so easy.

I know from experience that in some (Southern) African countries you need a police clearance from the country the car is registered in, to prove it is not stolen, in order to be able to sell it. (or acyually for the buyer to be able to re-register it...). This is the fact for sure in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Moçambique.
