Pattaya, Thailand to Berlin, Germany for the World Cup. I had virtually run out of time so could barely stop on the way back. Think shortest theoretical time is 19days, give or take, and i did it in about 25.

Pattaya - Bangkok - O/N to Nong Khia - Vientienne - Luang Prabang - Oudomxay - Luang Namtha - via Mengla to Mohan then O/N to Kunming - O/N to Chengdu - O/N to Xi'an. O/N to Beijing (arrive 2days early as have to collect ticket on Fri, and train leaves Sun night). 3x O/N to Irkutsk. 2x O/N to Tyumen, 2x O/N to Moscow, O/N to Riga, Vilnius - Klaipeda, O/N on ferry to Karlshamn, Sweden, Kobenhavn, Hamburg, Berlin.

((I know that distance wise it's not as long as many, but as I don't fly, in terms of time taken and to be somewhere on time as opposed to on a joly - like on the way over which took about 15months - then that was my longest))

I took the Indian Pacific train from Sydney to Perth - two and a half days! It was a pretty interesting experience but probably not one i'd repeat. We had to sleep in our seats and two nights sleeping in chairs was hard going.
