Circus Circus used to be quite cheap. Basic accommodation, but did a good buffet breakfast. I also think there are Super 8's & Motel 6's just off the strip, I'm sure there's a Super 8 up near MGM just behind. Can't quite remember but they are generally cheap.

Would also suggest the Flamingo or Tropicana which can also have great rates but are a bit farther down the Strip with all the big hotels, where you will likely spend all your time anyway. I think the Flamingo is one of the best locations on the strip for the money. Sahara and Riviera are a bit secluded and a pretty far walk down the Strip from all the action. Have a blast.

The Excalibur is a good place to stay on a budget. It's roughly 50$ - 60$ a night, which is similar to Riviera. It's on the Strip itself, next to Luxor and New York New York. A website that can give you info on many hotels is You can just specify your travel dates and it'll give you a list of hotels and nightly prices. Whatever you do, you will have fun in Vegas! It's impossible not to!

Good luck!
