Hi there

I am going to Argentina next week without knowing anything, than its a beautiful country !!! I was supposed to go to Thailand, but because of the problems right now I decided not to go.

I am invited to Cahue and will stay there for a while, I have just about 3 months to travel in Argentina, so what can I do ?

I love beaches and sun and warm weather.
I love to explore nature especially on a horseback.
I have a low budget, like $30 pr day included everything
I like to meet interesting people.
I like dancing and dining, but no drugs or drinking.
I would love to swim with dolphins.
I need time to think and relax in a quiet place
I dont like to many tourist or touristplaces.
I bring a tent and a sleepingbag,
I speak english, spanish, german and scandinavian languages.
I am a 37 years old danish woman, who have travelled for 9 months.
I hope you can help me out with some tips and good ideas.

Saludos Simone

Hi Simone,

See below; have fun, cheers, Niels

Quoting Simone...

I have just about 3 months to travel in Argentina, so what can I do ? In 3 months, you can do a lot, so most importantly, don't hurry

I love beaches and sun and warm weather. argentinian beaches suck, unless you're performing social experiments. Go to Uruguay if you want to spend some time in the sun, and avoid early january since that is the height of the season
I love to explore nature especially on a horseback.you came to the right country, then. Especially in the north-west, there is an abundance of possibilities, but also in the cordillera around Cordoba, and in the north-east around mercedes
I have a low budget, like $30 pr day included everything if that also includes transportation, that's tight, but doable
I like to meet interesting people.so do the argentinians. Try to meet them instead of fellow travellers
I like dancing and dining, but no drugs or drinking.dining and no drinking? There's an oddity if you've ever seen one. Argentine cuisine is excellent, though meaty. In the north it's better than in the south; try the famous empanadas everywhere, and find interesting regional differences, both in preparation and stuffing
I would love to swim with dolphins. hm. no comment, except that thát particular activity might be hard to find
I need time to think and relax in a quiet place then go to the Andes; the views make everyone a philosopher. And in general, as soon as you go to a place not mentioned in the guidebooks, you'll have the world to yourself.
I dont like to many tourist or touristplaces. see above; they're real easy to avoid, but some things are just not to be missed (mostly, Buenos Aires and Iguazu falls)
I bring a tent and a sleepingbag, unless out in a national park, they won't be much use to you. Argentinians aren't known for camping outdoors
I speak english, spanish, german and scandinavian languages. spanish will do, I think :) it's a great instrument to make new friends

Hi simone

I'm from Argentina and let me help you.

bentivogli is right in all things. Congratulations bentivogli!!

If you have 3 months here you can do a lot of things. Argentina is a big country. The south is beautiful. Excep in Bs As you can go to campings in the rest of the zones.

"I would love to swim with dolphins" YOU ARE IN THE WONRG COUNTRY!! We have whales here but if you want to swim with them you must have the correct clothes because is very cold the water!!

Please, always be careful and ask for assistance. People here is very sociable.

please forgive me my English, is not so good!
