I'm hopefully going to Oz at the beginning of Nov, going to be going on my own as all my friends are settled down and don't want to travel (more fool them I say!). I have only just started organising the trip so its all very new to me, hopefully going to start off in Melbourne and travel up the east coast and work along the way.
Is there anyone heading out there at a similar time that fancies meeting up at some point, I get so scared sometimes when I think about being on my own so far from home but then the excitement overcomes that when I think of all the things I'm going to see/experience!
Anyway, I'm 23 year old lass from Leeds so if anyone fancies a chat thats going over there and we could maybe arrange to meet up at some point it would be great to know I've got some people out there already I know so it wont be quite as daunting as it all seems to be at the moment!
Or any tips from girls that have gone/going there alone would be great, i.e. do I really need to take my GHD's??? I'll be lost without them.
Well I have just book my RTW ticket leaving in September and getting to Melbourne 3 months later at the begining of December - probably spend xmas an New Year there! Love to meet up if your still around! If not have a great time!
I booked my fligh today to depart on the 1st and arrive in Sydney on the 3 of December. I will probably stay in Sydney for the New Years Eve and head up the coast backpacking all the way up to Cairns. Got some great tips from friends who have already travelled east cost. It is gona be great can't wait. Unfortunately none of my friends can make it. Their Loss ;o) So lets exchange emails and hook up.
My email is: firstname.lastname@example.org
I too am travelling to Oz around early Nov time, friend is possibly accompanying me but if not, I'm all on my lonesome
Would be cool to hook up with anyone heading to Sydney first, although I'm quite open to ideas as it's my first time
Send me an email if you fancy hooking up;
I'm a 29 yr old scottish girl, laid back, up for a laugh and basically looking forward to an adventure for the next few months.
