Hey Guys you will be fine stick to backpacker joints and there will be an endless supply of people heading in your direction. Bondi and Cooggee are full of Backpacker people in sydney . Just hit the beach you are bound to find some like minded people.

Dont be afraid to get off the tourist trail and investigate work if you are in need of it, on cattle or sheep properties. They are always looking for workers and more often then not will pay you cash and give you somewhere to stay. Pick up a copy of the Land Newspaper i NSW and the Country Life in QLD.

Alice Springs is great be warned it is a long way from Alice to Uluru, like 450 kms so you need to plan that one. If you aent careful it becomes a tourist trap. Other backpackers are the best source of info. Head to Bojangles in Alice for a eally good fun night. Just watch the Aborigines in town they can be a bit of a problem especially at night .

You will have a ball Australians respond to people who have ago and have a sense of humour. Poms especially will be picked on but dont take it to heart . Have a good time and dont be a stranger
