The simple anwser - cheap as chips.

I can't remember the exact price, but in Laos is was $1-2 range for a big 650ml bottle of beer.
Hong Kong was expensive, good value if you buy it in groccery stores or the 711, but but I remember paying up to $8 in a restarant.
Hanoi was the best. Quality varied, but a good glass of Bia Hoi (draft beer) cost as little as 25 cents.

The other places I've never been to

Beer Lao, is probably the best brew in SE Asia, loved it! Even came back with a beer Lao t-shirt, not normally keen on those, but had to make an exception this one time.

Try beer Larue in Vietnam, another great beer, it was very cheap in Hoi An.

As for Bali, Bintang was pretty good! Go to the bars down poppies lane in Kuta, that's where it was the cheapest & coldest.

There's nothing like a cold beer in Asia.

BTW I'm not a booze hound, I just enjoyed relaxing with a beer in Asia.

In Bali, the local beer will cost you from US$1-2, liquour like JD or Tequila will cost around US$2-4 depending on the place, a glass of wine will cost you US$2-4 also. These prices are usually in the bars or restos throughout Bali.
