I'm looking for tips on what to do and where to go in Hong Kong and in Shanghai: landmarks, places, temples, buildings, restaurants, markets, food to eat - pretty much anything! The more typical for Hong Kong and Shanghai, the better.
If you want to see a clean, advanced city, check out Hong Kong Island... the view from The Peak is pretty nice (providing the weather is good). If you want to go hiking or check out a large statue of buddha, check out Lantau Island. Pretty impressive after you've had to walk up all the steps. Finally, Kowloon (my favourite). Check out the temple stree night market... cheap, interesting, good food surrounding the market. I liked Kowloon the best... but I prefer the dirty asia feel to the advanced modern cities.
Hong Kong... 3 letters for you...
