Well, acctualy I had the idea of starting this thread because of that one.

I was looking for a discussion of places in Europe that are particularly great during the winter, so it might be a good idea to go in january, instead of waiting until the spring.

I think that's not exactly what the other thread was about.

Ah, I see. I think some posts in the other thread mentioned Berlin and Romania, also Switzerland. It depends on what you want, I suppose. I do most of my travelling during autumn, though, but I've heard southern Europe isn't as cold during January.

I went to Switzerland last winter and it was great. I'm just fishing for travel ideas, really. I've been to Germany this year already. Maybe Romania is a good idea. Or maybe I should stay home and wait for springtime.
