Well...exactly! Why is it when I travel on BA or Air France...they translate everything in something like 6 different languages. I think I was told at one time that you had to speak at least 3 languages to even qualify for being an International attendant. (..Well...that would certainly leave out most US attendants, wouldn't it?)

As the old joke goes..... "What do you call someone who speaks at least four languages? Multilingual.

Someone who speaks 3 languages? Trilingual.

Two languages? Bilingual

One language? An American!

BTW...speaking of the bad chicken...I must introduce another thread, (So as not to morph this one any more....Best food on an airline!)

Once I was travelling to USA. There was a fat man sitting beside me who constantly fart in the air. I had to change my seat. I can remember that nobody else tried to sit beside him. He was from Texas.

I've never sat with any annoying person, but from my experience (though it's not big), it's no good to sit between to persons, it's better to sit ... well, don't know how it's usually said in english. Well, anyway, better next to the window (especially if it's the first time) or just when there's only one person next to you.

A similar story about "farts!" I was on the Red Eye flying from SFO to Boston, when we landed and were waiting to deplane the guy behind me was complaining on a cell phone about the "stink" coming from the seat in front of him! I was sitting in front of him! But, I took a look at him, I knew nothing I was doing was making that much of a stink, on his trousers he had a whole bunch of excrement on his pants legs. The crap was on the back of his trouser legs and he couldn't see it - he was the source of the stink!

I was going to yank the phone out of his hands and tell the person on the other line that "he" was the real source - but the line started moving! I suppose he would "again" find a stinky passenger near him on his ride home!

I was on a flight from Detroit to Japan and a really huge fat guy came waddling down the aisle. I was sort of hoping and praying that he would pass me by - but no luck! His seat was next to me, I had the aisle seat (I always ask for an aisle seat so I can get up and walk around during long flights,) he asked if he could lift the armrest up so he could fit in the seat easier. I told him no, I did not want his "fatness" touching me! I am not a small guy but I have always been able to fit between the armrests! He was just too fat! Needless to say, he didn't speak at all for the next 9 or 10 hours to Japan!
