Im headed to to SE asia in January for 6ish months and want to do some sport climbing while in thailand. Should I bring gear (rope, harness, draws, etc.) or is there quality stuff there available to rent.

I dont want to be carrying my stuff around for 6 months so if i bring itill have to mail it back to the states. How reliable is the mail system for outgoing packages?

The Thai mail service is outstandingly reliable and rapid. Parcels from or to the U.K take around 7 days, probably around ten or twelve to the states and they even parcel your post up at the post office, (paysannee) and are you of Jack kerouca fame

Have a good trip, relax and enjoy the land of smiles.

When we were in Krabi, there were quite a lot of climbing companies based there, they seemed pretty kitted out with climbing gear and from what i have heard Krabi is one of the best places.
