Lizaphelp1 has indicated that this thread is about Mexico

Just wondering if anyone has used their website or their company to book transfer or tour in Cancun. The prices are way much cheaper and I'm a little worried about that.

Hola Liz,
Sorry I can't help re transfers, but Cancun is very tourist oriented. Maybe you already know this interesting aside -- abt 20 yrs ago the Mexican govt did a survey. Due to geography & weather, it was decided that 3 areas would attract tourists: Cancun, Cabo & Zihuatenajo. These are manufactured cities while Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Acapulco etc have been villages for centuries. Cancun's location is beautiful, the ocean is wonderful & warm, but I'm sorry to report that it felt like San Diego to me.

Cancun has suffered since the big hurricane hit & may be has put out some incentives to travel agents so to bring people down. High Season begins in November. There are over 25,000 hotel rooms in Cancun to fill. Prices are as high as in the States.

;)It's a fun place! Please let me know how your trip turned out, ok?!

Good Luck, Liz!

Hi Liza - I used Grayline in Cabo, Mexico and found them to be reliable , safe, on time and a pleasure (I used them twice in 3 months) and once when I was travelling alone .

We loved Cancun (hope you are going to Xcaret - to swim/snorkel swimming in the underground caves - just stunning only a half hour away from cancun)

Enjoy
Kara

Hola,
I didn't take any taxis in Cancun. The buses in Mexico are cheap & often. The tour to Tulum was outstanding, plus I agree the snorkeling at Xcaret is worthwhile. Suggest you take your own gear. The rental stuff, as you might imagine, is scratched etc. Best of luck, Adrienne:)

WOW! WHAT DIFFERENT COMMENTS!!

CANCUN IS AS LOVELY AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN, YES IT DID HIT THE PLACE BUT IS LOOONG AGO RECOVERED AND NICE TO SAY EVEN BEFORE A YEAR HAS ELAPSED WERE BACK ON OUR FEET AND SOUND.

Many hotels took a chance to remodel and it was even better for many!

You can try the very very touristic places and also some local tours that dont need to be in xcaret or xel ha
you can also try those from a fantastic tour company
they take you to the more real thing and with lots of adventure!

go native.com will tell u more of what im talking about, by the way same people from xcaret and xel ha,so yes it is good quality and the like...

definitely you can also try xcaret at night wonderful show, i used to work there and i saw the show every single night and i could never get enough of it, it was a delight!!

as for transfer, just take the riviera maya or the ado bus right at the airport door, it is only 15 pesos like 1.5 us dll for the ticket and the ride that will take u to down town.

the collective vans are like 50 pesos or so. to take u to any hotel u go there.

just enjoy, and if u come now it is very very empty and very very cheap.

the weather now is just lovely

good luck in your trip
