I'm going to Spain in November till Christmas to learn Spanish and be somewhere a little warmer then Scotland! However, I really haven’t a scooby on where in Spain to go. I want to be somewhere warmer, so I'm thinking down south. I want it to be somewhere peaceful, full of culture, with nice beaches and a good nightlife, not too dodgy, dangerous and scary...oh and somewhere very Spanish so I can really get into the language! is there any place in Spain that would meet these specifications!??
Also could anyone recommend a good language school to go through that wont charge me an arm and a leg??
Any help would be very much appreciated!
November and december are not beach months in Spain, except in Canary Islands, but one very popular place to learn spanish is Granada, a beautiful city with a lot of bars and university ambience. Is close to the sea and not far from Sevilla, another beautiful city, but is not hot in winter, actually there is a sky station 30 km from Granada. In http://www.spanishcoursesingranada.com/ and http://www.my-spanish.com/ you can find info about language courses and acommodation
Take a trip to Ronda, of you can. It's an amazing ride just to get there, and the city itself is breathtaking.
Unless you have already studied a few years of spanish, a couple of months in Spain is a very short period of time to learn the languag
For a winter holiday go to Andalucia (Malaga, Granada, Sevilla, etc)
To learn the language getting a good accent and having fun in a
different and interesting student atmosphere go to Salamanca. It
can be quite cold in winter, but it is the best place to go.
