sydney all the way ...the weather way nicer, the beaches ...

and do agree with peter .. montreal way cooler but then again im from montreal so im a bit bias ...i would still choose sydney over montreal just because its not minus 30oC in winter.

If someone gave me a choice, a plane ticket to Toronto, Canada or Sydney, Australia I would take Sydney. Sydney has a much milder climate, it's by the ocean so it has some fantastic sandy beaches, beautiful countryside, more interesting wildlife, and I hear it serves better coffee, wine and beer. Being from Vancouver, Canada, that's very important. And, yes, I have not visited either city but know some good friends and coworkers who have. But, I have been told that Vancouver is more like Sydney then Toronto is - we are also located along the Pacific Ocean, have sandy beaches, many marinas, blessed with a mild climate (while there is a foot of snow on the ground in February in Toronto, our crocuses and daffodils are blooming here), and have a big coffee and beer culture. Starbucks is practically on every corner. I'd love to visit Australia one day. Go to Sydney!
