kody has indicated that this thread is about United Kingdom

Not too sure whether you guyz came across this or not,
just trying my luck on travel-expertise like you ppl.
I'm planning to do a 3weeks backpack in Europe, next year 2005 March 1st till 21st.

Fyi, I'll be touching down in London, and will be staying with in South London, a plc known as Tooting Broadway. I'm planning to hit as many places as possible. Overnighting in a train will be fine with me.
Would like to stop by in Woodstock and Liverpool, and I've no idea where else to visit in Scotland and Wales. Afterall, I wish to have a quick stop at Paris follow by Brussels and final stop at Amsterdam via Eurostar. It's about 2 and half hour frm Dover to reach Paris rite?
Well, my main concern now is that, I've no idea how far is a plc to another, where I can't seems to plan out my schedule and time to travel, coz' I've only have a mere 3 weeks. =(

I don't intend to overnight long in places like Paris, Brussels or Amsterdam, coz' I know it'll cost me a lot. Just wanna touch down and have a quick tour around the town. 2 nights for each plc will be ideal to me. care for any suggestion or advise to add for me?
Will appreciate for your comment...

My suggestion if you want to go to Scotland and you are planning 2 nights in each place... That's a pretty rapid travel plan, but if that's what you want to do I'd do something like this.

London, Woodstock, Liverpool, Edinburgh Scotland, Inverness Scotland, Hull England, ferry from Hull to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, train back to London to fly home from there.... That's about how I'd do it, maybe adding a few other stops along that route if I felt the need.

Have a great trip.

Thanks IMonaghan,

Indeed it's a good plan. I bet it's a rapid workout. One of my reason besides trying to hit as many places as possible is that I can't bear with all the accomodation expenses. That's really worrying which I'm still scouting for some cheap deals via the net.

While you are looking, check out the "Budget Hotels" area under the tools section of this website.... I have come accross some really good deals in the UK.. which is where I am planning to travel to in the coming months.

How is it looks in a budget hotel? and roughly how much is it per night, I've checked out frm, it's about EUR40 and above and stated as "Inexpensive"

Are ya opposed to staying in hostels? They can be cheaper (between 20-25 EUR usually) than budget hotels. If you don't mind sharing space, then that's the way to go!

I don't mind sharing plc either. Do you any links that can be useful for this? I hardly can find it. Appreciate if you have one.
