I have done RTW twice with young family and have a lot of info I feel could be shared with others.

Any chance a RTW option could be added to Travel helpers drop down lists?

Actually, I think there could be scope for quite a few "Non country" Travel helper options.

You could have things like travel with kids, surface travel, railpass/euro rail travel, vegetarian/disabled/elderly travel etc, Trans-Siberian (?). Some of these things come up time and again but there is no way of asking specific experts about them.

Maybe also things like RTW, and more general geographical areas like SE Asia, Scandinavia, East Europe etc in general could be worth looking at as well, as people's qqueries involve multiple destinations or a region.

Im in total agreement Rich - there could be visa help, airmiles or airline frequent flyer helpers, car hire help, etc etc etc these are just a few that jump to mind.

Although l dont know how that would affect the spammers out there would it give them more scope perhaps?

Its still a great idea.

I continue to help people with their RTW travel plans - any movement on adding RTW as a "travel helper" catagory?

It's a good idea to have some non country ones. I'm adding this to the 'to do' list.

There's already a 'region' based one which would work better than a country one for RTW trips as these often cover certain regions more than others. NOTE that this doesn't tie in with questions then posted in the regional forum about regional topics, one of the ways in which the 'per country' travel helpers are usually alerted to posts regarding countries they've signed up for! To keep abreast with RTW topics, I really recommend subscribing to the XML feed for the RTW forum; that is really the quickest, easiest (and least intrusive) way to be notified of posts you might be able to help out with :)
