scorer22 has indicated that this thread is about Finland

Can any one suggest cheap accomodation for a few nights in Helsinki? Not looking to spend much, just as long as room is clean etc. Will consider hostels and hotels

Hi!

Did you check out the places suggested to you last time? :)

Hello Vilma

Unless I am mistaken (which could be a very real possibility) I thought you suggested bars and the like. Didn't think there was any mention of accomodation (unless the drinking establishments doubled as hostels which wouldn't be good for my health especially my liver and would jeopardise my attempted run)

Any info on hostels, hotels which are cheap as chips would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

Hi Mark,

Have you looked at the ACCOMMODATION link at the top of the page? There's quite a few hostels/hotels in Finland available through some quality booking partners we use.

Mind you though, cheap isn't really a word which comes to mind when looking for accommodation in the Nordic countries....

Cheers,

Sam (from expensive Norway....)

Hi again Mark! :)

Yes, there was also a thread about accommondation.

"Stadion Hostel is supposed to be a legend...
Haven't stayed there so am
not sure what it's like.

Cumulus and Scandic -hotels have many reasonable
summer discounts, you can also check those out."

...still applies... :)

(Finally the Sun is shining in Finland - it's safe to come here! ;) )

Hi,

I recommend the eurohostel in Katajanokka.

I've been there several times; it's located in the centre of Helsinki and it's really cheap and clean. But you must be aware that it's a hostel, not a hotel ;)

hi

Indeed Eurohostel is cheap, around 28 euro a night.

an alternative is hostel Mekka which can be found on the hostels page here.
