My trip's points: Kuala Lumpur, Siem Reap, Pattaya, Kanchanaburi and Bangkok.
I planned to fly from SiemReap to Pattaya with PMTAir. But unfortunately there is no fly between SR and Pattaya till December.
So I have a question: how can I go to Pattaya from Siem Reap? Is there regular buses shedule? Is there direct bus or need to change bus on the border? How long this trip (SR-Pat) will take? 5-7 hours or more?
Cambodia is a bit too 4th world for you expect bus service from SR to anywhere. Private GHs do run there own buses/vans, but not gov't. I think your best bet is to take one of the share taxis to Poipet, cross into Thailand. Now you need to chat with the buses that take the Pattaya visa runners to Poipet everyday. There are several buses/vans waiting to take their passengers back to Pattaya. My mate did this trip last month. He talked to them and agreed to pay them about 500bt to ride back with them to Pattaya.
If that fails, get to Aranyaprathet, and see if you can get a scheduled bus to Pattaya. You may have to go to another city and transfer. Good Luck.
Thanks a lot, Mike!
I thought about joining to one of the "visa runners" bus on the border, so my task now is go to the border from SR
