Has anyone traveled from iguacu to buenos aires by bus or plane? If so can you reccomend a bus or airline companies and do you have ideas of prices?
2) or would you know if it is better to go from somewhere else in southern brazil or paraguay.
Will be in brazil/SA in December.

It's an overnight journey by bus. Via Bariloche's a good company, but there are others, too. Don't go flying; environmental reasons, see my other posts.

Buy your tickets a few days in advance if possible; no need buying them through the internet, though.

Made the trip not too long ago. Would second Bentivogli's suggestion of Viz Bariloche. I booked a coche-cama with them and it was sheer comfort for the 22hr journey! Champagne and everything, and if you are nice to the drivers they will bring you down to the "cockpit" and give you loads more!

Good value and comfortable!

We flew from BA to Ig and it was fine. After a few days took the bus to Asuncion. Nice town, not that great but as long as you're close by.....Zoom PS. Just arrange it all when you get there. There's plenty of travel places and you can see everything first hand - don't remember the airline price, wasn't bad.

Also if you think that 22 hours may be a long journey Iguazu-BA, and you have a few extra days, then I'd suggest breaking up the journey and staying a few days somewhere in between along the way.

May I suggest a stopover in Cordoba. It is a lively city with a younger population and lots to see and do both in town and in nearby towns and areas.

Uno, can I have your map of Argentina? Must be a rare collector's item :)

Cordoba ís nice, but not at all on the way from Iguazu to BsAs. But it's still a good suggestion.

We flew Aerolinneas (not sure on spelling) they were fine.
I think it was about $100

Some people are against internal flights due to environmental reasons but when you are short of time flying is sometime s the better option.

Via Bariloche! Excellent company. $20 (US) and its more comfy that Business Class on British Airways. You get table serveice, good food, loads of legroom, blankets, reclinging comfy chairs, whisky, wine what ever you want. takes about 18 hours. Cant reccomend this company enough.
