Hi Lorna,

not too sure what your budget is so here goes:

good location.

Alternatively you can try:

Its a chain hotel. Do note that some of the hotels are located within the redlight district (geylang). If you are into those kinda of sights, then go ahead =P

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have other queries.

Why don't you google; 'singapore hostels'. You can see what facilites they have, location, price. Travellers Rest Stop, Inncrowd, Backpackers Hostel, all have a bed for about $13. Worth a look.

Hi Lorna,

U can find several hostels along Campbell Lane/Dunlop Road in Little India. The area is just outside the city centre and easily accessible from Little India MRT station. And Sim Lim Square, where most tourists get their electronic gears, is just nearby. A short distance away, in the city centre, is Bugis Junction where u can also find some cheap hotels. Chinatown is also another place to find cheap hotels, but slightly higher-end than in Little India. Most hotels in the redlight districts (Geyland/Joo Chiat) usually have only rooms and it can be a little unpleasant for a girl to stay there.

I spent 5 days in Singapore and stayed at a hostel called the Inn Crowd which I thought was a great little place. It's got a small bar at the front and the management organise outings - it's quite lively but spotless and very friendly. its in a good location for getting to all the sights and is a few minutes walk from Bugis mrt station.

here's the link

I was there in October 2004 - I have just checked on the website and its the same management, Ping and Hai, who are really sweet.

Hope this helps.

yeah, the-inncrowd is good choice, been there too last year.
it's located right in the center of little india, close to little india and bugis mrt stations. the management is real nice and they'll help you organize what you wanna do.
there's breakfast included with tea, coffee, toasts, jam, butter, EGGS!:)
make sure to book ahead as it's usually booked out, if so there's another new backpackers right on the other side of the street and some more further down the street to little india. there's a 7/11 right next to the inncrowd and another at the shopping center.

have fun on your trip,
