Hello there people!

Am in the process of planning my trip and was wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for the route to take/sights to see between Buenos Aires and Bolivia. So I guess I am asking what should I not miss of the northern part of Argentina. I'm not patrticularly constrained by time but I am planning to do this trip on a tight budget.

Any suggestions would be great

Assuming you want to cross at the Villazon-La Quiaca crossing, there's quite a number of things you could do. You picked the cheapest region in Argentina, that's good :)

Cities that I liked include Jujuy, Tucuman, Santiago del Estero and Salta; I also had a good time in the Quebrada, esp. Cafayate, but I've also heard good stories about Tafi del Valle. Calilegua is a nice natural park, lesser known Cardones and Finca el Rey reportedly are also worth a visit, but I haven't been there myself, mainly because they're a bit harder to reach.

have fun, Niels

Don't miss Iruya in north west Argentina.

And Iguazu Falls is a bit of side trip but if you have time, it's on the route..;)
