Hello there people!
Am in the process of planning my trip and was wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for the route to take/sights to see between Buenos Aires and Bolivia. So I guess I am asking what should I not miss of the northern part of Argentina. I'm not patrticularly constrained by time but I am planning to do this trip on a tight budget.
Any suggestions would be great
Assuming you want to cross at the Villazon-La Quiaca crossing, there's quite a number of things you could do. You picked the cheapest region in Argentina, that's good
Cities that I liked include Jujuy, Tucuman, Santiago del Estero and Salta; I also had a good time in the Quebrada, esp. Cafayate, but I've also heard good stories about Tafi del Valle. Calilegua is a nice natural park, lesser known Cardones and Finca el Rey reportedly are also worth a visit, but I haven't been there myself, mainly because they're a bit harder to reach.
have fun, Niels
risario to cordoba up to salta then you can get up2 vallizon where the bolivian boarder is
Don't miss Iruya in north west Argentina.
And Iguazu Falls is a bit of side trip but if you have time, it's on the route..
