Well im off to Europe in 20-something days, 9 days after exams finish. im finding it impossible to concentrate becuase i keep thinking of Europe, and because i do an IT course i need my laptop which has the internet leading me to here and soooo
Just wanna ask how people have dealt with it, and any tips. I mean since most people leave for holidays after uni/school/work sure they've experienced it as well
Much cheers Anth
I dont really have any tips for you But i know exactly what you mean. Although I spend the working week staring at TP instead of pouring of engineering drawings. Its not hard to understand why.
Maybe you can set yourself a little goal. After an few hours solid study spend 30mins reading your travel guide or researching your itinerary. Just make sure you get up move around and get outside from time to time too otherwise your eyes will go square!
Good luck in your exams and have a great trip.
Where are you studying?
Cheers mate, im at Monash, in Melbourne.
Yeah i also have a tendancy to go on tangents, eg. thought of salzburg on monday night, googled my ass off, read lonely planet, looked at a map and ended up with a ticket from Salzburg-Berlin yesterday arvo
Man you just have to forget about the trip until your exams are over. I was in similar situation and it's hard. After you passed the exams you can think as much as you like about your trip and t'internet it up as much as you want! I found taking a 15 min break from reading every couple of hrs and chilling out helps. Have a great trip and hope the advice helps. Pete
